Crosstown Pub in Naperville had another electric trivia night, where teams pooled their collective knowledge to win some cash and gift card prizes. There were around a dozen teams trying to earn enough points to be first place but, in the end, team "The Last Hurrah" grabbed the $50 cash prize.
If you haven’t played pub trivia, here are five reasons why you need to come to one of these events, with a link where you can get a taste of the questions:
1. Because The Weekend Doesn’t Need to be So Far Away
The middle of the week makes the weekend seem so far away. When you feel stuck in the middle like that, you need a break. Trivia night is a great way to break the mid-week slump.
2. You honestly wouldn’t want to spend a Tuesday night with your friends?
In the same spirit as needing a midweek break, getting together with your friends is something that needs to happen more than just on the weekends. Grab a friend (or four), have some laughs and a few drinks.
3. Three words: Deep. Fried. Food.
We get it. Deep fried foods aren’t the same as eating a mountain of broccoli, but there is something satisfying about the crisp crunch of a golden batter around a sweet, tender ring of onion. This past week, teams were able to score free appetizers if they played a round of online trivia.
4. Show off that general/pop culture knowledge you’ve amassed
Watching marathons of Saved by the Bell or Game of Thrones not impressing enough people? Take that knowledge and turn that into points and prizes.
5. Taking Money HOME from a Bar
It’s not often you get to come home after a fun night on the town with a pocket full of money. If you and your friends have the grit, determination and deep pool of general knowledge trivia answers, you can win cash prizes or gift certificates.
