Laura Atseff’s 46 fourth- and fifth-graders in honors reading classes at Ranch View Elementary School in Naperville enjoyed PI Family Game Night on Jan. 9.
Atseff began the tradition seven years ago. She asks students to create a board came based on a book of each of their choosing. The purpose is to get children interested in a variety of books and authors during the process of making and playing the game.
Each student develops a specific number of multiple choice questions, as well as open-ended discussion questions for their individual games. And they get to make up their own rules and how to become the winner.
The event has become a family tradition as PI alumni grow and watch siblings participate.
