Naperville residents will once again have the opportunity to learn about the City’s form of government, department operations and City services by participating in the 10th annual Naperville Citizens Academy. This 11-week program is designed to give residents hands-on experience and unique insight into the City of Naperville.
Classes will meet weekly from 6:30 to 9 p.m. beginning Thursday, April 24. Each week, participants will learn about the many aspects of local government through informative and interactive sessions with elected officials, department directors and representatives from Naper Settlement, the Naperville Public Library and the Naperville Park District. The program will culminate in a graduation ceremony officiated by Mayor A. George Pradel and the City Council on Wednesday, July 2.
Space in the program is limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis. To inquire about registration, contact Communications Assistant Janice Bradley at (630) 420-6707. For more information about the program, visit www.naperville.il.us/citizensacademy.aspx.
