Even as summertime winds down, there are still plenty of opportunities for outdoor recreation in and around Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. This town’s prime location in scenic Sheboygan County provides visitors with easy access to parks and hiking trails. One of the most popular hiking destinations is Marsh Park, located just ten minutes outside of town.

Canoeing and kayaking

Before winter sets in, you can still enjoy a fun day of rowing or kayaking on Sheboygan Lake and Sheboygan River. You don’t even need to bring your own vessel—rentals are available right in the park.

Hiking and camping

With over 13,000 acres of pristine land, Marsh Park provides the perfect opportunity for the true outdoor enthusiast to explore the wilderness of Sheboygan County. If you would like to stay for several days, there are dozens of campsites available, some with water and electrical hookups for RVs.

Wildlife observation and viewing

If you just want to enjoy a vista of the splendor of the marshes, climb the 80-foot high observation tower.
